Jerome Mesnager

Since 2009, the collaboration between Jérôme Mesnager and Daum has celebrated the meeting of urban art and the excellence of the craft. Creator in 1983 of the mythical figure of "The Man in White," a symbol of light, life, and hope, Jérôme Mesnager has imprinted this universal silhouette on walls around the world. With Daum, he translates this language of street art into the noble material of crystal, giving his character a new poetic and timeless dimension.

From this alliance have emerged several strong and vibrant works, such as "Man in White ," or the colorful bas-reliefs of the "Love Dance" series. Each piece combines the delicacy of the drawing with the movement of the crystal paste, sometimes smooth, sometimes rough, reminiscent of the texture of wood or walls that he favors as a trained cabinetmaker. The work then becomes a message, suspended between shadow and light, between crystalline transparency and the intensity of the pigments.
