Since 2004, Daum has collaborated with Georgian artist and sculptor Tamara Kvesitadze to create a trilogy of crystal sculptures, blending poetry, sensuality, and duality. Passionate about art history, particularly the Art Nouveau and Art Deco periods, Kvesitadze infuses each of her creations with a dreamlike and timeless quality, where abstraction embraces the human form.
With Daum, she conceived three major works, including "Double Je," which evokes the duality of personality and the subtle relationship between man and woman. These sculptures fascinate with their fluid and elegant lines, like ethereal silhouettes captured in luminous crystal, revealing the unique alchemy between the ancestral know-how of the crystal factory and Kvesitadze's artistic vision.
Each piece, produced in a limited edition, bears witness to a profound dialogue between the artist and the material: crystal becomes a universal language to express intimacy, dreams, and the complexity of human emotions through a neo-symbolist imprint. This collaboration, which began more than twenty years ago, is now emblematic of Daum's commitment to enhancing contemporary art and celebrating the most talented artists of their generation.
