The Panther Candleholder, from the Le Trésor Perdu collection designed by Thomas Fuchs for Daum, invites you to immerse yourself in a mysterious and original natural world. In the heart of a dense, lush jungle, a panther stands still and silent watch. Hidden in the luxuriant vegetation, it seems to be guarding a secret buried in the material, like the guardian of a story for which it alone holds the key. The entire composition is based on a subtle tension between revelation and mystery, where each element invites the eye to linger and discover new details. Through this creation, Thomas Fuchs celebrates a living, precious and enigmatic nature, where the animal becomes a symbol of a world to be contemplated and preserved.

Made from crystal paste, the Panther Candleholder reveals all the richness of its reliefs through the play of light. The nuances of the material bring the vegetation to life, highlight the animal’s volumes and give depth to the sculpted scene. When the candle is lit, the flame acts as a revealer, gradually illuminating the composition without ever revealing all its secrets. Hand-crafted according to the exceptional know-how of the Daum House, this creation is situated at the intersection of sculpture and functional object, transforming every moment of light into a poetic and immersive experience.
