Collaborations THE ARTISTS
MAISON DAUM
The pâte de verre technique is rare and very ancient. This technique dates back to 5000 BC (examples have been found in the tombs of pharaohs). Long forgotten, it was rediscovered by Daum in 1900 and then reworked in 1968. The process is extremely delicate to handle. The pieces obtained by this fusion of pieces of crystal mixed in a mold possess a grain, a texture, and a softness of contours that cannot be obtained with blown glass.
A unique expertise
Daum, a House of light and color, embodies limitless creativity and unique expertise. Born from earth, sand, and minerals, Daum Crystal fuses with fire to transform into spectacular objects: interior pieces, works of art, or jewelry. The House continually tells its story through sculptural creations that reveal the beauty of women, fauna, and flora. From the Nancy School to Decorative Arts, from Art Nouveau to Art Deco, Daum reinvents itself over time.
More than 350 collaborations have shaped the manufacture's creations, with art icons such as Majorelle, Dalí, Arman, or César, but also Villeglé, Etienne, Texier, and essential design signatures like Tallon, McConnico, Massaud, or Ghion. Daum has not missed any of the magical encounters of artistic creation and modern savoir-faire, constantly perpetuating the marriage of art and craftsmanship.
