Ginkgo, a floral collection magnified by the brilliance of crystal

With the Ginkgo collection, launched in 2003, the Nancy-based manufacturer continues
This quest is inspired by a tree revered in Asia (and especially in Japan), the ginkgo biloba, whose fan-shaped leaf embodies longevity and resilience.
A thousand-year-old tree with unique foliage, often associated with wisdom in Eastern cultures, the ginkgo becomes, in the hands of Daum's artisans, a vibrant motif of botanical poetry. With the Ginkgo collection, launched in 2003, the Nancy-based manufacturer continues this quest, drawing inspiration from a tree revered in Asia (and particularly in Japan), the ginkgo biloba, whose fan-shaped leaves embody longevity and resilience. This floral collection expresses Daum's deep appreciation for the living world. It pays homage to the ginkgo, a true symbol of good fortune in Asia, and also to the harmony between contemporary design and artisanal tradition. Each piece is an invitation to contemplation: the lines, curves, textures, and reflections of the crystal make the spirit of the plant tangible within the crystalline material. With the Ginkgo collection, Daum explores the boundary between art and nature, creating elegant pieces that transcend the material to capture the spirit of nature. The ginkgo motif, with its fan-shaped, veined leaf, lends itself beautifully to sculptural expression. In Daum's workshops, this ancient foliage comes to life through the pâte de cristal technique, which allows color and light to be fused into the material, revealing all its nuances. The leaf's open shape, graceful curve, and veined surface evoke the controlled fragility of a plant world frozen in the brilliance of crystal.

Ginkgo, a luminous collection in the colors of nature
The Ginkgo collection is available in two vibrant shades: a deep green with turquoise undertones, reminiscent of lush foliage, and a luminous amber with golden reflections, celebrating the vitality of nature and the virtuosity of the Daum crystalworks artisans. These two colors infuse the pieces with a vital, almost organic force. These shimmering tones interact with the fluid curves of the crystal, capturing every ray of light to better reveal the richness of detail. The collection includes a wide range of pieces forming a refined ensemble, designed to enhance any interior space. From imposing magnum vases to large and medium-sized vases, mini-vases, bowls and dishes, perfume bottles, and decorative leaves, each piece is a feat of craftsmanship, numbered and handmade using the pâte de cristal technique, thanks to centuries-old expertise.

Beyond their visual elegance, the pieces in the Ginkgo collection invite a contemplative engagement with the object, an intimate connection with nature transfigured in crystal. Through their artistic interpretation of this sacred tree, the artisans of Maison Daum offer a poetic reading of the plant world, creating a dialogue between natural heritage and contemporary decorative art. Each ginkgo leaf seems to carry within it a fragment of botanical poetry. By offering a contemporary vision of an ancestral motif, the Ginkgo collection perfectly embodies the philosophy of Maison Daum: to create works where nature is not only represented, but also transcended by the human hand. Once again, crystal becomes a language, a material for dreaming, a vibrant tribute to life.
