Urban
Since its founding in 1878 in Nancy, the Daum factory has embodied the rare union between exceptional craftsmanship and artistic avant-garde.
The contemporary spirit of crystal
URBAN art
Each sculpture becomes a metaphor for the contemporary world: dynamic, vibrant, and constantly evolving. Through its collaborations with contemporary artists, Daum translates the spirit of graffiti, collage, and graphic design into art crystal. Volumes deconstruct, textures clash, and colors ignite. The Daum workshop, heir to a century-old know-how, dialogues here with the visual language of the 21st century, creating a bridge between heritage and innovation. These urban art works in crystal are much more than sculptures: they embody the rhythm of our time, where matter becomes light and art becomes an experience.
A pioneer of the urban art revival in France during the 1980s, Jean Faucheur has explored for several decades the boundaries between the human figure, the sign, and deconstruction. His encounter with Daum in 2002 gave birth to two exceptional works, *Rêves* and *Le Masque de verre*, which push the limits of urban art and mark a new stage in his career, where sculptural abstraction confronts the vibrant sensuality of crystal glass.

JonOne x Daum
The meeting between JonOne, a major figure in the international graffiti scene, and Daum House marks the unexpected union between the energy of urban art and the finesse of glassmaking expertise. Initiated in a spirit of total freedom, this collaboration gives birth to vibrant works where color, light, and gesture merge. In 2020, Daum offered the American artist a new medium of expression: crystal paste. Far from the canvas or wall, the artist transposes his abstract and gestural language onto a sculptural support, playing with reliefs, transparencies, and reflections. Each piece becomes a visual manifesto, where the impulse of the stroke dialogues with the depth of the material.
When the passion of graffiti ignites the light of crystal.
With Table for Two or Seeing Through the Night , JonOne infuses his intense chromatic universe into exceptional pieces. Graffiti becomes volume, crystal becomes canvas, and the whole celebrates an art without borders, free and alive. This collaboration embodies Daum's desire to explore new creative territories, inviting visionary artists to push the boundaries of matter. An explosive encounter between the street and the studio, between fire and color.
A white silhouette etched in the light of the crista
Jérôme Mesnager and Daum
Since 2009, the collaboration between Jérôme Mesnager and the Maison Daum has celebrated a unique encounter between urban art and the excellence of craftsmanship. Creator in 1983 of the mythical figure of "The Man in White," a symbol of light, life, and hope, Jérôme Mesnager has imprinted this universal silhouette on walls around the world. With Daum, he translates this language of street art into the noble material of crystal, offering his character a new poetic and timeless dimension. From this alliance have emerged several powerful and vibrant works, such as "The Man in White," and the colorful bas-reliefs of the "Love Dance" series. Each piece combines the delicacy of the drawing with the movement of the crystal paste, sometimes smooth, sometimes rough, reminiscent of the texture of wood or the walls he favors—being a trained cabinetmaker. The work then becomes a message, suspended between shadow and light, between crystalline transparency and the intensity of the pigments. In the pieces enhanced with brushstrokes, the artist's hand is fully expressed, affirming the uniqueness of each work. "Love Dance" thus becomes a celebration of life, movement, and freedom.
This collaboration marks a rare dialogue between the free expression of street art and the precious rigor of art crystal. By engraving his "white man" in the eternal material of Daum, Jérôme Mesnager pays homage to the power of symbols and the beauty of the human gesture.

Manu Katche
From stage to studio, the 2020 collaboration between internationally renowned percussionist Manu Katché and Maison Daum has given birth to a unique work: the "Blue Note". A true homage to the essence of jazz, this crystal sculpture embodies the imperfect, elusive, yet expressive note that musicians constantly strive to touch, the famous "blue note". Through this creation, Manu Katché translates into three dimensions what, until now, only existed in the vibrant air of jazz clubs: raw emotion, absolute freedom, a perpetual quest for a sound that skims the surface of perfection without ever settling there.
With Maison Daum, he imagined a stylized musical note in a contemporary way, available in black and blue, as a visual echo to the depth and richness of musical language. Produced in a limited edition of 500 pieces, each piece is crafted using the exceptional expertise of Daum, a master glassmaker since 1878, to bring this mythical note to life. On a black optical glass base, the note seems to float, suspended in a delicate balance, a symbol of the improvisation and tempo so dear to jazz. The "Timeless" collection invites music lovers and art enthusiasts to celebrate the magical union of rhythm and light, in an object that transcends time and embodies the very spirit of music: unpredictable, moving, and eternal.

JonOne Seeing Through the Night
A true witness to the evolution of aesthetic trends, Daum has successfully navigated the changing times, appropriating the visual languages of each movement while maintaining an identity deeply rooted in the Lorraine glassmaking tradition. Daum's urban art is a bold exploration of the connection between the modernity of cities and the nobility of crystal. In this world, the Maison pays homage to the creative energy of the streets, the raw texture of walls, and the colors and contrasts of metropolises.
