In 2015, Daum initiated a bold collaboration with Hicham Lahlou, a renowned Moroccan designer and pioneer of industrial design in Africa. From this encounter was born the exceptional sculpture of the oryx, a mythical desert animal, interpreted in amber-toned crystal paste, enhanced by gilded brass horns. A symbol of power and elegance, Hicham Lahlou's oryx embodies the perfect fusion between modern design and Daum's centuries-old savoir-faire.
In 2025, to mark the opening of the first Daum boutique in Dubai with the Chalhoub Group, the House celebrates this connection to the heart of the Arab world with the creation of a unique incense burner, the result of a new collaboration between Daum, Hicham Lahlou and the Malian designer Cheick Diallo. This sculptural piece pays homage to the ancestral traditions of incense in Arab culture, while affirming the contemporary boldness of African design and the timeless poetry of Daum crystal.
These iconic creations demonstrate the House's commitment to exploring new artistic territories and celebrating the richness of cultural heritage through prestigious collaborations. They place Daum in a fruitful dialogue between Africa, the Orient and Europe, where the light of crystal reveals the beauty of forms and traditions.
