Production Agents (M/F)

DAUM, an exceptional and legendary crystal manufacturer since 1878, recognized worldwide, is RECRUITING for its factory located in Vannes le Châtel (54112):

Production Artisans in our various Workshops:

Your tasks:

  • Monitoring of the melting furnace (operating 5 days a week, 8 hours a day), picking up the Crystal material.
  • Carrying out the manufacturing steps for crystal paste pieces.
  • Finishing of the manufactured part, surface rework

We provide in-house training with on-the-job support from our skilled craftsmen and experts in their field, which will allow you to learn a new trade, offering you the possibility of true longevity and professional stability.

We offer a travel allowance and a meal allowance; with opportunities for salary increases over time.

You will also benefit from company health insurance and advantages offered by the Works Council.

Your working hours are in 5x8 shifts ( with overtime for night and Sunday hours ) or from 6:00 AM to 1:20 PM from Monday to Friday; depending on the job position.

Technical Process Manager (M/F)

Daum is a prestigious crystal glass manufacturer founded in 1878 in Nancy and a leader in the implementation of its process. Composed of 2 industrial sites, the Vannes-le-Chatel site includes the production workshop and the Nancy site is the place of creation and development of the works.

Reporting to the Plant Manager, you will be the key player in an internal continuous improvement and research and development process.

Your responsibilities include leading and coordinating process improvement, resolving technical issues, and ensuring the reliability of production.

You will work in collaboration with the various managers of the Vannes Le Chatel and Nancy sites: glass melting workshop, hot glass paste working workshop, cold finishing workshop, industrialization sector, quality sector.

You are involved in the entire production process.

You are also responsible for monitoring technical and regulatory developments.

Your profile:

  • You are a graduate of an engineering school specializing in chemistry, minerals, and materials, and ideally have knowledge of glassmaking.
  • You have some initial experience in an industrial production process.
  • You are curious and have a real desire to get involved in a team.
  • You are open-minded and eager to be trained in a unique manufacturing process.
  • You are a source of ideas/proposals.

Manufacturing Workshop Manager (M/F)

  • You will work from 6:00 AM to 1:20 PM, Monday to Friday.

Your skills:

Minimum 10 years of management experience in production.
Experience in a manual manufacturing process and small-batch production.

Forklift Driver (M/F)

Reporting to the Hot Food Point of Sale Manager and the Merchandising Manager.

The oven driver will be required to perform the duties described below, with the understanding that this driving activity takes place as part of a 3x8 shift work schedule.

In-house training planned.

Missions:

  • Pottery kiln surveillance.
  • Various maintenance operations for the operation of the pot furnace.
  • Participation in the picking and making of the cabots.
  • Sorting out the stray dogs.
  • Site surveillance.
  • Making refractory pottery pieces.

For all of these operations, the operator strictly adheres to the production instructions on the technical data sheet, unless otherwise instructed by their supervisor.

It is also his responsibility to fill in the sections of the OF (manufacturing order) tracking sheet at each stage of production.

Shift work in 5*8 shifts.

  • Interest in working with crystal paste.
  • Knowledge of the production environment.

Hot glass paste operator

The Hot Glass Paste Operator performs all operations necessary to obtain the raw material that will be delivered to the Cold Glass department. He/She is involved in all phases of the initial hot glass fabrication process, from casting the wax to removing the plaster from the piece. He/She must be versatile and able to work at various stations in the Hot Glass Paste workshop: wax casting, plaster removal, etc.

Missions:

  • Pouring the molds and repairing the wax.
  • Waxing, applying a wax cap.
  • Plaster casting.
  • Filling the molds, preparing the pots, reductions and accessories.
  • Loading and unloading of ovens.
  • Deburring and cleaning of parts.
  • Making refractory pottery pieces.

Profile:

You have an interest in working with crystal paste, and you have knowledge of the production environment.

Experience working with glass paste would be a plus. Internal training is planned.
