Feminine sculptures that combine the delicacy of crystal and the strength of woman

She becomes light, movement, and memory. The feminine sculptures in crystal paste capture the brilliance of a gesture, the softness of a drape, the tension of a silhouette, as if the translucent material had captured the very essence of femininity. Heir to centuries-old expertise, the Cristallerie transforms the female body into a poetic presence that transcends time, combining sensuality and artistic nobility.

Daum's female sculptures embody a beauty in perpetual metamorphosis, like nature through the seasons. In the warmer months, rosy or soft green hues evoke the awakening of spring, a symbol of renewal and vitality. In summer, amber silhouettes take on a solar intensity, diffusing warmth and radiance in a bright living room. Autumn finds its reflection in shades of gold and tawny, reminiscent of the gentle, comforting light. Finally, winter reveals the power of deep blues and icy purples, creating an atmosphere of calm and contemplation.

Thus, Luo Li Rong's Douce Muse stands as a timeless figure with springtime accents, while Alain Choisnet's Adelie embodies the ardent energy of summer. Laurence Bonnel's slender silhouettes evoke the refined melancholy of autumn, while Jean-Philippe Richard's creations, with their violet and blue reflections, convey winter serenity. These feminine sculptures become sensitive landmarks, marking the rhythm of life.

Interiors evolve with the seasons. Placed within an interior, these crystal sculptures create true points of balance. On a minimalist console, a pensive and sensitive silhouette draws the eye like a contemporary artwork. In a bedroom, a sculpture with soft hues diffuses intimacy and serenity. Near a bay window, the color gradients transform with the changing daylight, placing the artwork in a vibrant dialogue with the space.

The female body: an artistic foundation of the Daum Crystal Factory

Instead of restricting itself to the classical ideal, the House of Daum has always explored new ways to celebrate the female body .

Since Art Nouveau, the female silhouette has appeared in the vases and decorations of the Daum factory , a discreet muse of forms and fluid lines. But it was in the 1960s that it fully emancipated itself, becoming a sculpture in its own right, celebrated by artists who gave it an autonomous and timeless presence.

Indeed, from the 1960s onwards, more than seventy artists have lent their vision to this universal theme: stylized torsos, draped silhouettes, suspended gestures, or refined nudes. From Jacqueline Badord and her Torso , to Paloma Picasso, Marie-Paule Deville-Chabrolle, Alain Choisnet, and Laurence Bonnel, each collaboration enriches the language of crystal with a new nuance.

The major artistic movements—from Art Nouveau to Art Deco—still resonate in these works, but the uniqueness of Maison Daum lies in its ability to make color vibrate. Where other workshops limit themselves to monochrome, the Manufacture dares to use unique gradations: a violet that melts into blue, an amber that glides toward gold, a pink that glows in the light. These transparencies and iridescences lend the feminine sculptures a rare intensity, making each piece a fragment of poetry frozen in crystal.

Owning a Daum female sculpture is like inviting a crystal muse into your home. Light, color, and form unite to celebrate the female form, transforming every space into a haven of vibrant, gentle, and inspiring poetry.
