The collaboration between one of the greatest Spanish artists, Salvador Dalí , a leading figure of Surrealism, and the Daum crystal factory began in 1968, around the iconic piece "La Fleur du mal" . From then on, a series of 23 daring works unfolded, where crystal glass became an ideal medium for Dalí's metamorphoses, with an elasticity that amused the artist.
Visionary and provocative, in this collaboration Dalí explores the sensuality of matter, its almost organic suppleness, to express his obsession with time, desire and the unconscious. The works *Montre Molle* , *Danse du Temps * and *Vénus aux Tiroirs* perfectly embody this dialogue between reality and imagination, between the artisanal rigor of Daum and the unbridled universe of the Catalan artist.
The crystal paste, with its translucency and malleability, allows Dalí to express his unique aesthetic, made of paradoxes, elasticity, mental fluidity, and symbols. Each creation becomes a sculpture-manifesto, where Dalí's genius takes shape in an eternal material.
More than fifty years after this legendary collaboration, the works resulting from this encounter continue to fascinate with their evocative power. They celebrate the rare union between two forms of excellence: that of the master of dreams, and that of French craftsmanship brought to its highest level.
